Are you having trouble?
I have a 31 foot rampage dark blue hull. For years I compounded and waxed the hull until I began to see the glass beneath the gelcoat. Around 4 years ago I began to use wax only and found this to be sufficient. Most waxes have some sort of micro-compound in them and this is pretty much enough. I think next year I may have to compound her again tho.
I go through this once a year. My deck is all glass. "Captain Gray" and I've never waxed it or done anything to it except clean it with a good detergent. I have no issues here and my boat is a 1987 that I constantly get compliments on.
