Why not move into the ocean in slow, less stressful stages? First time, don't even bring your equipment....Just swim about in shallow water. Get used to the feel, cold, motion etc.
Next time, bring your mask/fins & again, stay shallow....(4-5 ft) .....just put your face in & practice your pool exercises in the ocean. Take as long as you need & as many attempts as you need until you begin to feel comfortable.
Don't even book the 4 open water dives until you are so comfortable that you are actualy eager to show what you can now do!

Just remember, learning to SCUBA dive is supposed to be fun. Don't let your initial enthusiasm be overshadowed by artificial deadlines or outside pressure. Learning to dive doesn't stop after an open water course. It is not a race to see who finishes first or fastest.

As an Instructor I have had students that have run the gauntlet from diving prodigy to nervous Nelly. Relax, work at your own pace, and enjoy yourself. If it takes six more weeks or six months, it really doesn't matter.

Step back, take a deep breath, and recall why you wanted to dive in the first place. The skills will come with time, training and practice. Talk with your instructor and fellow divers. Most everyone has been there, done that and continued on to truly love their diving experiences.

If your ever in the area stop by and we'll do some diving!

Enjoy the rest of your OW class and have FUN
