Hi,

I am planning to do my classroom and pool work here in chilly Minneapolis soon but might be in San Diego in about a month and am thinking of doing my referral OW cert. dives there. Can anyone recommend a good dive shop/school there?

I posted this in the SoCal forum but didn't get any responses so thought I'd try here.

Thank you for any referrals.

It's a weekend. You'll have responses by Monday. ;)

Hi Suddha,

You may want to contact these companies for assistance. They are SSI Scuba Schools International Dealers and can complete your Open Water Certifications on a Referral (where you complete class/pool work in your city and the Open Water certifications in California).

I hope this helps!

Hi, Sudda! There are at least four or five good shops in the San Diego area.

I work for Ocean Enterprises (PADI) and they do a lot of referrals.

Let me know if you are looking for an underwater tour guide. DM for hire!!!

Any Sport Chalet offers PADI courses as well.

San Diego Diver's Supply is a good company...my wife and I got our AOW there last July, ask for James M. for a choice in instructor....PADI Five Star Outfit. Highly recommend them, or Sports Chalet has good dive instruction too.
