Sorry ScubaBabe22, they haven't hooked up AFN in our trailers here at Camp Victory, Iraq yet so I must regret to inform you that I missed it. Here's your thread though!

Interesting that the American People are allowed a fictionalized version of the War to see every week, yet the TRUTh is not allowed.......What happened to the imbeded reporters.....And what about the returned soldiers...maybe a good look at those affected by ptsd might be enlightening. Are we ready for and accepting of a new generation of street wandering mentally inefficient folks? Maybe this series will end up with just that......guess we will have to wait and see what the purpose of this show is......Truth and Consequences........I hope they don't sugar coat reality.....the review seems to indicate they didn't interview those actually in the situation....where is that????

The show was spot on. We hopped on "beer runs" down rt irish all the time :icorolleye

How much you want to bet those girls get attached to that infantry squad for the whole season? What a joke

Just another way for "Hollywood" to make money, over dramatize what is actually going on to make a few bucks. The sad thing is that the majority of the public will take this as gospel (like Michael Moore's cheap shot at politics). Who said the masses are not lead by the blind? Funny you don't see anything about what truely is going on over there. Has anyone seen that we just finished opening up a new Hospital in Ethiopia lately, of course not it isn't something to make somebody look bad.

Funny how the Army turned down "Hollywood" in the past in the making of "Heart Break Ridge" because they hyped up the infantry platoon to be a bunch of misfits and malcontents. I for one will not watch this load of cow manure that is being fed to the masses.

You didn't miss a thing...

It was definitely anti-war...

I wonder how they would feel if the entire military might of this country just said one day, "Okay we're going to stop what we are doing for 6 months and see what happens, ok everybody go home and enjoy the break". Those same screen writers in "Hollywood" would become very pale and might do something in their pants.

Back in 1970, I had to walk into a classroom at Berkley in my flight suit and some hippy professor made a smart-*** comment to me, and his class, about what if they held a war and no one showed up. I just looked at him while walking by and responded that “you’ll be dead” and walked on leaving him with a very shocked look on his face.

I know the feeling, just finished up the recruiting gig here in Cleveland, Ohio. Talk about being liberal and going to Kent State is not fun around this time or any other time.
