I had a 12 foot Zodiac which I traded for a 14 plus foot Novurina. I ran a 25 horse Merc on both until I traded it for a 35. I never felt that a foil was needed. The inflatables do tend to go bow high until they plane off so load them forward. Porposing was never a problem with either boat. I dove both of them often many miles from shore. The anti-cav plate really is not intended to have those wings attached to it zo I wonder what stress they impart to them. If you need additional planning surface add some small tabs to the transom. On my inflatibles the tubes stick fairly far back behind the transom which helps get the boat up on plane. Good luck. N
