I just checked out the embassy hotel and it didnt say anything about having a bar onsite. But the rates are good 119.00 a night that is a good rate.. I'm sure with the convention center right there. there would be a place close by to relax and unwind with some adult beverages..

yeah just so happens that I live a mile from a South Shore train station....and that can get you to the Metra which gets you up there...(i think...never took the train that far.). or you could meet up at the south shore parking lot which is huge and car pool. The one I live by is just on the indiana side of the border just off of 94 before you get into Chicago.

And as far as bars up in Rosemont....it is one of the more popular convention centers for shows around Chicago.....plenty of wells to pull a chair up to. I am sure that if anyone wanted to do a snorkle bong at a bar they would probably be up for it. hahaha

Rosemont Hotel Dining & Restaurant - Rosemont, O'Hare - Chicago, Illinois - IL - Embassy Suites Hotels

Phew. There are a few restaurants and a full tavern on site.

Well, I just booked my hotel and plan to be there for Saturday and Sunday. I am located about an hour north of detroit (East of Flint). I plan to head down there sometime on Friday, but don't have any definate plans yet.

The seminars on wrecks and photography sound really good. Anyone have experience at this show? Are they as good as they seem from the website? Any good tips for the show and seminars?

I'm all for the impromptu meet and greet!

Bring CASH!!! Although most the vendors will accept credit also. But the point being, either bring someone with more willpower than you possess or be prepared to be parted from your money.

Have you SEEN the sponsor list. I am already memorizing my mantra:

leave cash and credit card in room.. That will take care of it. I have no will power... I might be wrong, I dont know. John or Paula can answer this. I dont think they are selling anything. I think it is just a show of new products and other things like that... A place to advertise kind of sorta am I right??
