I will be in Orlando next week for training and will be spending the following weekend (14th & 15th) in central Florida, with the exact location TBD. Can I have some recommendations on where to go? I have some family in the Clearwater/Tampa area so I was thinking of that first but I'm open to suggestions.

I am a PADI ceritfied diver with only 4 certified dives. I am thinking about buying a BC and reg while I am in FL and may bring my mask/fins/etc. with me.

Thanks in advance
Jason

Most folks are going to be up at the megadive (see link in my sig line) in High Springs that weekend - its about a 2.5 hour drive from Tampa, 2 hours from Orlando, camping etc, but there are some spare tents from what i hear.

If you cant do that then there are some non-attendee's who might be up for shore diving a little further south (CBulla?) or just head on over to the east coast, not much else going on around there.

Thanks for the quick reply. How would I go about hooking up with everyone? Do I need my gear or should I rent some?

just come on over. Posting the in the megadive thread would be good.
what gear do you need? I can probably loan you some.

Reg, BC & weights. I may buy a reg and BC while I'm down there anyway (if I can find a good used one or something not too pricey).

Thanks for the reply. I will probably go though.

I can loan you a reg set if you need it, and a tank too.
Just let me know.
