Hi, all. The battery in my OrcaTorch D550 seems to have corroded in the tube. Is there any way that I could fix this? I really like this light, and can't really afford a new one at the moment.

If the battery corroded on the inside, why is there corrosion on the outside

Me would soak the back end both inside and outside with phosphoric acid
but lots of people have vinegar in their cupboard, for eating fish and chips, and tomato sauce
then loosen that thing, with the hole around the switch, and check the seal
