Orange County - Looking for buddies

I am new to Orange County. Looking for buddies to dive with.
I don't mind joining a good club. I just want to dive with responsible divers. Anyone interested ??

check out www.southcoastdivers.com. They go beach diving every saturday morning, and some nites in the summer. Great way to meet buddies and get shore diving experience. About as cheap as you can get too!

If you decide to dive Catalina, we could "talk." I'm pretty picky about my dive buddies due to the fact that I videotape while diving. That can put a lot of divers off since I may stick to a single reef for most of my dive (or even a single spot on the reef if it is very productive). Then again, I may wander the entire Dive Park in a single dive. So much for planning... it's Mother Nature's "trip" and I try to follow her cues.

www.sandeaters.org dives every Sunday somewhere between Laguna Beach and Mailbu, with the occosional dive in San Diego, Ventura or Catalina.

Or we could talk. I am a Lakewood area conservative diver and dive most weeks someplace between Laguna and Malibu with the ocassional dive a little further south or north. 78 dives in the past two years (ya, work gets in the way sometimes). AOW.

My neighbor and I are looking to get out and do an easy shore dive this saturday. He's OW with about 50 dives in Laguna and I'm a DM, but have not dove here yet. All my dives have been in Monterey. We're looking for someone that wants to dive PV since we're in Long Beach and PV is closer and someone that knows the area so we aren't diving blind.
Any takers?

Me and a couple buddies can be found regularly at Crescent in Laguna. If you get there at 6:00 a.m. you can join us. I just got back from there this morning and the conditions were sterling. Up to 15' vis and very little surf, kinda surgy in the shallows and a little on the cold side (51 degrees at 50') but all in all a great dive.
