When posting, it is necessary to click for Options so that I can uncheck "recieve email responses". Is there any chance that the default Option could be changed so that one has to select receipt of emails instead of it being automatic?

Click your avatar and select "Preferences". Uncheck "and receive email notifications of replies" just below "Automatically watch threads that you create or when you reply"
