Opinions on the Cressi-Sub Aquapro 5R?

I'm looking to buy a BC and have my eye on the Cressi-Sub Aquapro 5R.

I've done about 25 dives with rental gear and am looking to buy some of my own.

I go on approx two recreational dive trips a year, primarily in tropical waters.

I know many folks here prefer other styles, but I'm happy with jacket style for the time being.

I would also like something with weight-integration.

Price isn't my primary decision maker, but I'm also not looking to spend more than I have to.

Given that, the Aquapro 5R seems like a good match on paper, but I am curious what folks who have experienced it first hand think.

If you liked it, what did you like about it? If you didn't, what were its shortcomings?

Given my criteria, are there other BCs you'd recommend more? If so, why?

I am also looking at the SeaQuest Pro QD and the Aeris Atmos LX.

Any thoughts on either of those?

Or which of the three strikes you as the best?

I don't know about the AquaPro 5R itself but I own a Cressi 7mm wetsuit and have used Cressi BC's as rentals around the world. I think Cressi makes a good product and at least the items I used worked well.

There are 26 reviews of the 5R at LP, it may make sense to review those.......

Overall it looks good.......I did see some negative related comments related to the weight....a heavy BC is less fun to travel with......

There are many options for BC's and many opinions........

Look for fit, comfort and ability to trim out well.........

I would look at the Oceanic CRUZ BC ($459). A little more money but I feel that it is a better BC. Nicer BC pockets, Trim Weight Pockets allow better weight distribution and the Weight Integration is a better design. Here is their description of the BC
