Which subject would you be interested in learning more about...

1. People's attitudes toward (fear of) crime and the causes of those attitudes.

2. The balance between Civil Liberties afforded and the level of National Security.

Thank you and have a nice day. :D

i choose number 2 because based on the security meseaure that were put in place since 911 have really done nothing except for cost more money and do nothing for use , ie soldiers in airports with m16's but with no clips, oh like thats going to stop me.

ben franklin had it right back in the late 1700's when he said "those who give up a little freedom for some secuirty, desire neither secuirty nor freedom" and it is so true

Liberty above all else. So this is why I voted for 2. If you are afraid to be terrorized then you shouldn't be around a lot of people.

You should have the freedom to live where you will not be a likely target. On the other hand I would like the freedom to travel uninterrupted.

True story. I am as average as they come. White middle aged male. Right down to the blue eyes. I got randomly picked for the wand check at the air port. The thing beeped away. I emptied my pockets. Took off my belt. Took off my religious medal of Jesus. Took off my shoes and socks. Still when ever the guy checked around my ankles the thing went off. He asked if I had any steel plates inbeded. No.

So he calls his supervisor over. I guess he didn't want to see me naked. She taps on the wand and said, "well maybe the batteries are going dead." "Next".
