Spear fishing is NOT allowed anywhere in Canada.

Nor are spear guns as I remember.
 
I've heard from a friend who lives in Dryden that you can fill at the firestation for $10 a fill.....

I would call ahead to Sunset Diving first, because alot of the time nobody's around even when the sign on the door says open or they are open between such and such hours and still no one around. Don't get me wrong though, they're not a bad shop, just not around all the time.

Some folks consider Quebec outside of Canada but apparently it's legal to spear fish there. In fact Plongee H2O on Maloney Blvd in Gatineau keep various spear guns in stock. Daniel Yo, the owner was trying to sell me on the concept of scuba fishing. :D

It's legal in Quebec. Scuba2000 in Richmond Hill sells spearfishing specialty courses with the checkout dives in Quebec.
