we'll waiting for divers to swim back to boat and saw a extra diver heading to boat. Turned out it was a 19 yr old who lost his Kayak and was attemping to catch it in 15 mph winds. Had no Bc just a hard pack, his lucky day for sure. he looked to be close to a mile off shore.

A tragedy avoided! Kudos on the heads up Jamie. This is a prime example of :

1. Never dive alone
2. Dive with another experienced yak diver, untill you learn the ropes.
3. Always use an anchor heavy enough to securely anchor your yak, with a scope of line long enough to get the anchor on the bottom, or tow it!
