some kind human broke the flashlink cable to my wife's flash when his became entangled with hers (just ripped hers apart). She removed the screw, removed the broken piece, reinserted the remainder of the flashlink cablein the screw and reassembled. It worked well for a second day of dives and night dive. Now, possibly coincidentally, there is dampness in the flash housing. flash still fires fine, but there are actual drops of water inside. sealife guy at scubaprice (GREAT SHOP) here in Cozumel says the gasket and o ring look fine to his eye, and that it probably isn't the cable itself. We're on vacation with 10 days left. Could it be the flashlink screw causing the problem? is there any way to fix this? there is dampness under the clear plastic plate beneath the ON-OFF-TEST switch as well, that we never noticed before. any miraculous recovery thoughts?
