I bought this cheap little film camera at REI: http://www.rei.com/online/store/Pro...ngId=-1&addon=736515-736514&ext_cat=undefined , and I used it a few times in a local quarry over last summer.
The thing I noticed first is, the flash is useless because the light won't even reach its focal point of about four feet.
Well, I also happen to have an old useless Aquashot II housing that has the detachable close-up lens. So with a little clear epoxy and some southern engineering, I've mounted the lense and it's mounting bushing onto the camera.
I've experimented with a roll of film, and it turns out that with the lens on the camera, the focal point is now about ten to twelve inches from the camera. Works pretty good. So maybe I can come up with a couple decent bug shots with it.

So now my question is, what would be a good film speed for this camera?
It came with 800, but I saw somewhere else that said to look for some "high definition 400" film. Would that be better? I've never heard of it.

Anyway, I was planning on getting a Canon A640 and an Ikelite housing soon, but I'm going to Jamaica next week and don't have time to mess with that right now.
