congrats , Hope you don't have as much trouble with your Olympus housing as the rest of us have be sure to insure them for flood insurance .

yes there been allot of trouble with olympus houseing , look under salt crystals ect , or ring's replacemnt has to with the dial mode O -ring mostly with salt crystals ect getting inside and eating and tearing up the o-rings .

I've had my PT - 010 on over a hundred salt water dives and I've had no leaks whatsoever.

right now the one most talked about is the PT-015 housing (most think they have a dial or o-ring problem) but getting them to admit it even with a petition sign with over three hundred names not convinced them yet

I think that most of the issues you are describing can be mitigated with proper care.

Any housing can be faulty, given the improper care!

Not me, there are some with a few as 10 dives and after soaking them.
I have soaked mine after every dive even tried salt terminator this last time and the salt crystals are still forming, it seems to be more to this particle modal right now, do search you will find now that some of us have started rebuilding our own with different O-rings so far I have 10 dives after rebuilding mine and seen no salt crystals getting ready to leave for cozumel in 24 hrs we see how it does after that.
