On Cozumel now - spot on South end?

We are staying on the north end of the island at an AI, and have some friends coming over from Playa tomorrow.
My son and I would like to get another dive in but he is not enjoying the boat rides out to the reefs.
Is there a good beach club at the South end that the non-divers would enjoy (with activities) but would have access for a dive op to get us that would be closer to the reefs?
With my son I don't want to dive any deeper than 80'....

Any recommendations or things to steer clear of?

I second Paradise beach. We surface interval there, and on 4 tanks days, this is where we get dropped off for lunch. Not sure how far north you are, but it's probably a $15 to $20 cab ride. Lots of water toys, lounge chairs, beautiful pool, good food, shade, sun. 10 minutes by boat to Palancar from there? (less?) I don't think there's a cover to get in either, but I could be wrong.

Chankanaab park is excellent. Lots of things for the non divers, beach, snorkeling, dolphin and sea lion encounters, zip lines, food, drink ect. Ramon Zapata is on sight and does guided shore dives (within park all must be guided). Great shore dive with tons of fish and cavern swim throughs. Think the deepest I went was 25-30 feet maybe? Almost an hour in the water. They have full equipment rentals if you do not have your own.

I would also recommend Paradise Beach, and I know Tres Pelianos can pick you up there.

Second Chankanaab PArk. My wife and daughter loved it while son and I dove the day. Most good dive ops will pick you up, with gear onboard if you like. Just call and make sure. Enjoy!
