scubajohn921:
in your opinion is OMS better quality than diverite?

I own both DR and OMS, and most of the time, OMS is better quality than DR and some times more expensive, just a few bucks, but more expensive.

I buy all my OMS gear from Austins in Miami, talk to Dennis at (305) 665-0636 Tel (305) 665-0789 Fax their site is now under remodeling so no access was available today, but call Dennis and he'll help you out.

I used to buy all my DR gear from Austins too, but discovered www.diveriteexpress.com and I can assure you that they deliver fast and at great prices.

Choose your gear wisely and don't be afraid to mix and match components, if you have doubts, ask lots of questions and evaluate the answers, so far I'm very pleased with my OMS, DR, XS rig. Each component has it's reason to be bought and I bought them after carefull research on the web, dive mags, dive instructors, ect.

If you're in the market for OMS gear, check out Adirondack Scuba at www.escubashop.com, also. They're an actual storefront with an internet presence so the gear's warrantied. They're prices are hard to beat, and they'll ship the gear anywhere for a reasonable charge (usually just actual shipping). Their site's a bit out of date, but give the number in the upper left corner a call, or email them, and see what they can do for you. As I'm not sure where you're posting from, if you do email them, put something in there about hearing about them on the boards, as they get lots of phishing emails from overseas.

I use an OMS IQ rig with a Dive Rite Trek Wing. I purchased them both from Divers-Supply.com and was very happy with the prices and the service.

BTW: I returned a DR to purchase the OMS IQ. I thought that there was a good bit of difference in quality.
