I am woundering if anyone knows what the best backplate is for a OMS transpack or does it not matter?
 
I assume that you mean OMS IQ pack. I don't think it matters which one you get as long as it is the standard size.
 
if you would like the weight of the ss than thats the way to go. since your talking IQ pack its going to be positive boyant. so i would go with the SS to take that away
 
Not good on the math thing but I am new to doubles and I am going to be using faber LP's 95's, with a drysuit in fresh water, won't the tanks be enough to keep me negitive?
 
Most likely the tanks will keep you neg. however if you ever move to salt water you will most likely need the ss.
