did you change the threaded stems ?

My LDS says the OMS knobs have a larger square opening in the knobs which doesnt allow the sherwood knobs to be installed.

I have made my mind up to buy a better manifold, the Halcyon and it comes with the knobs i want.

the halcyon is 250 and that one you mention is 170, thats quite i price difference. Is the extra $ 80 for the halcyon name or what?

Theres got to be a difference between them other than price.

As far as price goes i think i would pay the extra 80 and get the halcyon, i think 250 is a hell of a good price. I bought 2 manifolds about 5 or 6 years ago ( and OMS and a DiveRite) and i know i paid around $300 or so for each of them.

Trust me trymixdiver, there is NO difference as long as they're still shipping with the Sherwood knobs. It's the name in this case, period.

Before Halcyon started carrying the SeaElite manifold, they (or was it GUE/EE?) actually sent me to Diver's Supply to buy it (back around late '99 or so).

Here's a post by Irvine from the Quest list back in 2000 (probably about a year before Halcyon started carrying the SeaElite):
