I have a set of Voit LP72's doubled up. They have OMS bands and a halcyon 300 bar manifold both of which are about 2 years old. The tanks are coated on the inside and no one here will O2 clean them. I would like to change out the tanks to LP 80's but don't know if the bands will fit these or anything else. How can I tell what other tanks I can replace the 72's with. I think they are 7 inch bands. Will they fit 7-1/4 inch tanks? The manifold is adjustable so I am thinking it will fit most any tanks with 3/4 in neck.

I've had good luck using bands designed for 7.25" tanks on 6.9" tanks and vice versa. A concern will be that the bolts will protrude a lesser distance towards the backplate with a 7.25" than a 6.9".

Get some Faber 85s, those will fit where 72s once were.

There is some leeway with bands but its hard to know exactly how much and what size "OMS" bands you actually have.

What they all those two said.

I've got it a bit backwards
Faber 85s, with 72s, parts
Where the 72s, once were

There's tyre tube under the bands, to protect the paint
and you can use layers or thicker rubber for fine tuning
