Hi Marcel,
How are you going to fit that thing into one of Nauticam's ports?
Bruce

hmmmm i dont know yet....... but any way the lens is fantastic but with the adaptor the autofocus is verry slow.....so i will wait for the 60mm wich will be much faster in auto focus/ i have been diving with it but just with the epl 1 and its not easy to get things in focus. believe me

The Olympus 50mm F/2 macro is one of the very best lenses made by Olympus and my main macro lens during the years I was shooting the Olympus DSLR's. Even the E-5 does not do justice to the image quality of this lens. That said it is very slow with the M43 adapter and you would need a manual focus gear to get full use of the lens in the Nauticam NA-EM5 housing plus a custom port the length of the lens and adapter. For me the current Panasonic 45 macro or the Olympus 60 macro which should be released soon will be a better fit.

For those Olympus DSLR shooters that already own a 50mm macro port from Athena, Inon or Olympus that intend convert to the Olympus E-M5 housing with DSLR port adapter this may make sence. I think most will find the Nauticam housing to be the much better choice if you don't already own the DSLR housing ports.

Phil, are you using the same port for the Panasonic macro as for the kit lens (the 36121 flat port)? And the 60 will not work with that port, correct? Thanks so much for your advice.

I am using the Nauticam macro port for the Panasonic 45 macro not the port for the 14-42 or 12-50 kit lenses. Nauticam is going to release a port for the 60 macro which will be released soon after the lens. The new port will have controls not found in the kit port for the 14-42.
