I just bought the OM SYSTEM Tough TG-7 Red Underwater Camera. I had a Go Pro Hero 4 but it is 9 or 10 years old. I bought a Go Pro Hero 12 but after having issues getting the battery into the battery compartment and shutting it (had to return two because it kept getting jammed) I just bought the OM SYSTEM Tough TG-7 Red Underwater Camera. I Also bought the PT-059 Underwater Camera Housing. I was wondering if you had suggestions for lenses that I can use for it? I don't really want to invest a lot more yet. I will think about strobes but I only dive once or twice a year (5 dives) each usually. Does anyone have any suggestions on filters or other accessories I should get? Strobes and the filters for the strobes are later. I was wondering if there were any filters that I could add to the housing (like Backscatter has for the Go Pro Hero 12). Thanks

You will get better responses if you post this in the Underwater Photography section

Have you dove with the TG-7 yet? I'm considering getting one for an upcoming trip.

Couple of pics from a trip to Shetland. TG7 with PT059, Backscatter 82mm lens and Orcatorch video light. I'm pleased with the results.

Do you really mean an 82mm lens? Or are you referring to the lens that has a field of view that is 81 degrees wide?

That's the one. It gives a much more usable field of view.

Yes, it mostly corrects the loss of field-of-view caused by the flat port on the camera housing, and the air-water refraction. If you actually want a wide-angle lens then you need the more expensive Backscatter lens:

I have both. the 81-deg lens is nice-to-have; the 120-deg lens is awesome.

I'd say the 81mm lens is essential when using the housing. It makes such a difference. I'd like to try that 120mm at some point too. A couple more pics from my trip...

Thanks for sharing. I'm still fine tuning exactly what accessories to mix in. Great photos though.

Thanks! I'm really only just finding my way with the TG7. The conditions in Shetland were very great with clear water and lots of light.
