Hello,

A few months ago I saw a lot of adds for C-7070, and today I decided I wanted to buy it. Check around on the internet for prices but I couldn't find it anymore. Asked 3 online shops for an offer but all said it was out of stock (in the Netherlands that is). This already 1 year after intro in the market !!

My two questions: Is there a good replacement for the C-7070 (27 mm focalpoint @35 mm lens)? I think maybe the (38 mm focalpoint @35 mm lens) has a too large focal point for those macro-photo's.

Second question: Do all Olympus models just live for one year? What is the reason behind this? There is no similar replacement.

Not sure what's going on with Olympus and the other camera manufacturers.

It would seem the prices got too high (too close) for their point and shoot cameras in comparison to DSLR cameras.

The newer point and shoots seem to be cutting features to keep the costs down.

Be sure you take a close look at features before you buy. Check the range of F stops, shutter speeds, zoom capability in the macro mode, RAW feature, just to name a few.
