Anyone have a good suggestion for the best place (& best price) where I can get a replacement counterweight for my OLY PT-015 housing for the C5050? Mine is lying in the sand at about 120' near the Duane! Dang thing came off at the safety stop, and there was no way to catch it, before it spiraled down to the bottom.

Maybe it's just me, but it seems crazy they want to charge around $30 for a hunk of metal & a screw that doesn't hold it attached!

I have an extra one. If you take care of the postage you can have it.

Sent you a PM ..... if your really serious, this would be terrific!

Yes :D I'm serious ;)...I can get it in the mail asap, so you have it in time for your trip. I want to see some pictures though ;)

You bet .... I'm still a rookie in the photo area, but I've been lucky and got a few good one's here & there. I've tried to attach one I just took ..... not sure if I did it right!

Here is a fix, You might want to get Adobe PhotoShop. you can also get a basic addition for free. I have attached a fixed picture to bring back the color that you lost.

You might also strongly consider getting Photoshop Elements 3 instead of the full blown Photoshop. You get about 95% of the capabilities for about 1/8 the price in an easier to use (for newbies like me) interface. Elements 3 will also handle RAW image files without having to add a plug-in.

Do you really need a counter weight ? I am assuming that you have a strobe attached to your camera. Even without a strobe I don't see the need. I have never used one and I have never had a problem with the housing or camera..

If you really want one I also have one that you can have.
