Oly C-5050 Manual?

Hey all,

Thanks for your responses regarding the basic manual. I have been trading emails with tech support at Olympus and they claim I was not supposed to receive a printed booklet like the one that Diver Kat and Sapphire did receive. It is interesting that some of you got one and many did not, hence many have printed theirs from the CD. I am a stubborn one, so I intend to keep pursuing this out of principle, and because I prefer the cute little 4 x 6 size that can fit into my bag!

It is too bad you couldn't have come to the Olympus Digital Photography class held today in LA! I went and it was completely worth the $99 cost. I learned a lot about the functionality of the camera, in addition to getting a photography refresher course and some information on storage and manipulation of images. Check the Olympus website for when this class may be returning to this area.

Or maybe we should start our own SoCal Scubaboard 5050 user group! We can get together in person and share tips and techniques...

AArgh! I wish I would have known about that class - that's exactly what I need. I can figure out the very basics of my new 5050, but since it's my first digital camera, all of the more complex things are still a bit over my head (for the life of me, I can't figure out how to use the Macro function, and I know that there are other things this baby can do, but I just haven't even gotten to understanding what they are). I'm gonna go look to see when the next class is offered.
I wasn't able to make the So CAl trip to Casino Pt. when everyone went a few weeks back, but would love to do a So Cal 5050 users meeting - it seems a lot of us just recently got our cameras, so we could all figure them out together.
