Unless you can find a used manifold, you are better off making these 3500psi tanks singles or selling them and getting 3/4-14 valved 3442psi steel tanks for the doubles. 7/8" manifolds (and even single valves) are stupid expensive.

Using the ebay seller I linked above one should be able to put together a 7/8" manifold for around $175-$200. I think that is dirt cheap, especially for a thermo.

Photos of Sherwood Genesis Double DIN Isolator valve have been added to post #18. Also, a link to the service manual for this valve has been added.

Scoobers, I really don't know what a reasonable price is for these items, so I'll just throw something out here: $300 for manifold, bands, and bolts, and buyer pays shipping from central Missouri. (The OMS manifold, bands, and bolts I purchased new in 2000 from LLoyd Bailey's totaled $375, though by that time many more manufacturers were offering manifolds to fit Genesis set-ups; when I purchased the Sherwood manifold and Dive-Rite bands c. 1995 for $490 + Tx, I think there were fewer of these types of manifolds, and so the price was very high.)

(Something tells me I should have been a bit more deliberate about all of this and listed these in the SB Classified.)

Scoobers, let me know what you're thinking. If I haven't heard from you by, say, Saturday evening, I'll probably move all of this to the Scubaboard Classified section--that is, if I think I'll have the time to deal with that.

If you have pst sherwood genesis tanks, also marketed by us divers, they do not take the really old 1/2 inch valves, they take the newer 7/8 inch valves, but not the standard 3/4 inch that we use today. If you call john at www.northeastscubasupply.com he has brand new, old stock oms manifolds that will serve you well. I was at his shop a few weeks ago and he had them in stock.

I have 4 HP 3500 100s I love them. They weigh about 5lb less than Faber and are shorter too.
This is what you need, I recently bought 2 sets they are the 7/8 thread
and are new in box.
Go to the Ebay item #s here, the seller will combine shipping and he is fast.
Good luck and be safe.

Actually the valves I found on Ebay were much less at $57 each than new 3/4 manifold valves from anyone else and they are Thermos.

A deal has been made. The manifold and bands and bolts have been promised. Thanks, everyone who expressed an interest.

All,

A few days back, I agreed to sell my Sherwood Genesis Double DIN Isolation manifold and old Dive-Rite bands and bolts (for HP 3500 psig Genesis tanks) as is for $275 + Shpg, to a fellow SB-er. He asked for two weeks to gather the funds. I contacted him after two weeks, and he informed me then that he had changed his mind.

I'll be listing this stuff in the SB Classifieds in the next day or so. (A description and photos appear in several posts earlier in this thread.) PM me if you're interested.

Thnx.
