I was thinking of checking out the Old Marineland dive site in California. The description in the "CA Best Beach Dives Book" looked interesting. Any tips or postive or negative reviews?

Thanks!

get a better response on this in the NDI Southern California forum. I understand it can be a great site, but I have only tried it once from shore when viz was not good. Conditions there can change very quickly.

I have dove it once, also from shore & thought it was pretty, but indeed, the waves got pretty big for a while. If you get there & it is not working out for you, check out Malaga Cove & Redondo. There are lots of other great sites right around there that you could use as a backup plan if Marineland is not suitable. But go SOON. I heard they are going to close it & develop it Then charge for parking.:(

but have not seen it yet. Been out of the water for about a month. No squid in the pool yet.:D
