I only did my PADI Scuba Diver class this week (while on a crusie with Royal Caribbean) but I am HOOKED! Did my two Open Water dives in Grand Cayman (Don Foster's Dive) and already have planned with my LDS to complete my Open Water Cert. We did shore dives and the only down side was a very strong cross current on the swim out / back. This made the 200 yard check off swim more like 300+, but it was a good work out!

It was almost a sensory overload once under....so much to see....can't wait to get back under!

Welcone!
Start spending some quality time in the gear forums, lots to learn. Also here and the basic forum.
Everything gets easier with practice.

Welcome to the underwater world!!!

Excellent! Welcome to the Scuba Board... Enjoy..

Welcome to the wet side...:D

wooHooo.... welcome INSIDE the tent......

I will spare you a gushy description of the dive itself, except to say that when you finally see what goes on underwater, you realize that you've been missing the whole point of the ocean. Staying on the surface all the time is like going to the circus and staring at the outside of the tent.

That sums it up!

I kept thinking on the cruise ship ride home....hmmmm....this is pretty, all the blue water, but I wonder what is going on under it right now.
