Hello,

Long time ago, when I was an ER student my TDI instructor told me that TDI people should not use "normal" OK signal, but rather OK with flat three fingers, horizontal to the surface. Just to show that we are somehow noble, as trained by TDI.

Normal OK signal:

OK with "flat" three fingers, horizontal:

Have you ever met such "policy"? Is it only a local fun or known globally?

I suppose the information came to my instructor from an instructor trainer in Egypt.

I found a picture of Adv. Trimix instructor showing this "flat OK":

This is not my instructor, who told me about the "flat OK".

Let me check the calendar... April 1st? No. OK, then I don't get it.

I feel 100 percent secure in saying that we don't tell our instructors to teach a "secret handshake" of any kind.

Well, except the real secret handshake but this isn't it! :confused4:
