I went with this set up
sherwood avid XL BC
apeks ATX 200 regulator
atx 100 for back up
herderson gold 5 mm wet suit
henderson boot& cloves
cobras computer with compass and comptuer hook up and softwear
1 tank alum
fins went with the mares avanti quatro fins
masK found a nice parkway purge mask fits me great
folding snorkal goes inside pocket for BC
did I do good

Seems like a nice recreational set up, of course the tech/DIR guys are going to chew you up... I personally don't like purge masks and opt for low volume masks. Just my 2 cents worth...

Have you thought about using the regs configured with a long hose and bungeed backup? You would put the ATX200 second stage on a 5', 6' or 7' hose, and the ATX100 on a 22"-24" hose, with a bungee necklace. You've spent good money on good regs, now you just need a good set of hoses for them - not much point spending $200+ on a second stage and then dragging it through the sand and mud
