Ohio - Natural looking swimming pools in people's backywards.

In my travels through the side country roads of Ohio, I notice homes with natural looking pools. They have a greenish tint, doesn't look to have a liner etc etc. I'm sure you could dive in these, but my question is...does anyone in Ohio know what I'm talking about? If so could you pass on info?

Lived in Ohio all my life and the only thing that comes to my mind that is even close to what your describing are man-made ponds. The ones around here typically are only 4-5 ft deep when the water is really high.
