Doesn't it figure? I'm coming down to Cape Ann, Massachusetts for a week and wouldn't it just figure that the weather is supposed to be miserable!! (at least according to theweathernetwork.com)

I'm gonna be one unhappy camper, literally!

Oh well. The diving is supposed to be good or so I'm told making it all worth while!

Right??

I guess it depends on what you consider "good" to be and what type of diving you like to do. If I get more than 10' vis and the water is warmer than 44°, I'm a happy guy.

Hmmm... okay, drysuit. I can do that. 10ft vis. I've had less. So it doesn't sound like anything I can't handle so far! However, I was hoping to get some photos and with low vis, I guess my chances are pretty slim.

Ooooh!! Macro!! Good point! I've only used it once so now I'll get lots of practice. :)

What's nice about Cape Ann is you can usually dive some parts depending on conditions. For instance this weekend, the winds are coming from south so don' t count on diving the southerly sites but can definately get some good dives at places like Plum and Folly Cove which face NW (and Lanes Cove). So it may rain. You're going to be wet anyway. At least no Thunderstorms or angry seas..

We've actually had some decent vis this year, especially up at Cape Ann. Granted, this can change in a day, but the water's been much cooler this year, and I think that's helping a bit. You may get some good shots yet! Welcome to New England!
