OFWF Dinner?

a good time was had by all.......DG forgot Tom R (NTD) .......Lots of laughs..CobaltBabe kept her clothes on (at least until I left) and didn't start a foodfight........Heard some great stories from Doppler and the NTD boys. I really enjoy chatting (actually just listening) with long time divers.

Congrats to Canuckdiver...got his Nitrox cert, in spite of the freeflowing experience .

The folks at Montanas' including the other patrons gave our table a few curious looks???........

Those who missed the event should look forward to the next event......

This all said ummm errrrrr folks we never did discuss a date for the OFWF BBQ/Dive day......

Dammit, we have to start this all over again......

As I said, a good time was had by all... and Colbatbabe -- came up with an excellent suggestion for the next meet... but I'll let her start a new thread on that (since it was here suggestion). :wacko:

I will say that the NDI guys mentioned an up-and-coming event that sounds outstanding... so ALL of you who weren't there will just have to wait until they post the info! (nothing like a teaser...)

It was great meeting new friends, and even better seeing old friends and catching up on news!

For those meeting next weekend, here's praying that Canuckdiver and his pals remember to plug in the heater for the dive for us!

Can't guarantee I'd be able to make it as I'm trying to convince my Sig Othr that no, I'm not "getting involved in" yet another activity.

don't know about the others... but I'll try to remind you. FYI --- looks like a number of OFWF are going to do a shore dive on Friday. As I'm only an "invite" check with Canuckdiver - as an organizer of the dive!

I'm really tempted by the clear blue water but THERE IS STILL ICE IN IT and I only have a 3mil wetsuit..........

Think I'll stick to sailing for now, thanks...........

Just wanted to put my two cents in (and I will try not to put my foot in my mouth). The amount of knowledge sitting at that table was incredible. I want to thank you "real divers" for allowing me (a want to be) to remain at the table and bast in your knowledge and experience. I had a really good time. And yes I am the queen of getting lost but I did make it and only a couple of minutes late. I look forward to getting together with all of you again and if my suggestion of a BBQ in someones backyard appeals to anyone other then the 10 who showed up, PM me and I will make it happen. Sometimes it's just nice to get together minus the equipment and shoot the sh**. Again, thank you for including me.

All the talk about diving last night and yesterday, we just had to go diving in rockport today, over 40 Divers there today.

I have the video to prove it also. Stay tuned for what's next.

I'll make sure those loud mouth.... well errr the guys will always welcome you. Your humour and the fact that I really think you can haul those tanks like you said you can make you welcome to any table I'm sitting at.

A BBQ is great --- though your neighbourhood is a might closer to any water. I'll PM, and we'll talk.

but I do have the space a for BBQ.......And if the need arises to get wet.....I do have water in my backyard.............Ands even more just around the corner...... All depends on my DM training schedule........
