Offgassing at depth VS. on the boat

Sorry guys, I didn't mean to start a fight, take off the gloves. I was referring to air. When the instructor explained this to us in open water he was not keen on elaborating, so I did not take it at face value, that's why I'm asking. After the other training I've received, it seemed that the O2 content of approx 32%PP would be neglible vs the pressure gradient of
the N2 at the safety stop. I would think it would speed up the process, but the fastest offgas would be at the surface. Thanks for the reply's, as I've learned something, and you can't put a price on something you've learned.

When you get as old as me and Ian and Charley are, sitting around drinking Coronas and pontificating about decompression qualifies as entertainment
