Thanks overexposed2x and SeaJay! I appreciate the suggestions on hose routing, that DIR wmv file really helps. I'm still new enough to this stuff that I love my Probe BC, :) but the long hose makes a ton of sense to me.

BTW, I was only half kidding about the MP3 players. I saw a guy who had an UW FM radio on the reef at KW, though I don't think I ever heard it if he ever turned it on. I'd never use one, mostly because the sounds on the reef amaze me and I'd feel like I was missing something. Who knows, maybe if I ever got to the point where I had to do long deco stops I might change my mind. :)

The long hose makes a lot of sense and i have used its long function several times to my advantage while bringing out a group of new divers.

It happens at times that on an air check UW all divers would have similar air usages. Then by some exciting event a diver may get so excited and use up alot of air bringing him into low air situation. The long hose has provided me with ample movement to check on the other divers while providing/sharing my long hose with the low/out-of air diver.

Though the use of Long hose really needs getting used to. It's routing, how you deploy, how you stow. and most especially preventing it from slamming into the ground when on surface.
