The dead battery may have been the problem in the first place.

Since you're showing 25-49 dives, I'm assuming your Geo is fairly new. If so, you may have a battery eating monster like mine. My geo started showing change battery or just going dead after about six dives. Even with new battery, started doing this again within 24 hours. Lots of discussion about this in other threads.
