It’s my first time buying my own regs and these are the two most affordable regs my local dive shop sells. I am open to any new suggestions that people may have on other regulators that people may recommend, but have heard good things about both of these regs and was wondering which is the better of the two.

Atomic. Hands down!
Scubapro engineers, who left and improved on the product.
Great stability. Great performance. Can be environmentally sealed (which I do even for warm water).
Absolutely no contest. (I am certified by both companies to service their regs - whatever that means, lol!)
If price is a concern, look at the Atomic Z series. For the loss of a turret, you can save signif $$. Exactly same performance.

Hands down without a second thought or even any thought, it is the B2. They aren't even in the same category, the B2 is many miles ahead. Get a sealed first stage B2 for the best performing and most reliable regulator in the market.

Atomic

As others have said, Atomic. Both my wife and I have Atomic B2s and they are exceptional. Going on more than 15 years with our B2s.

The difference is too big here. I have my share of experience with Oceanic and Hollis regulators. Maybe there is one or two exceptions, but I would say in general their build quality is inferior to budget brand like HOG.

If you can get Oceanic at deep discount, which happens all the time, maybe it is OK. Don't even buy them at MSRP.
