I'd heard about this documentary as well, but most of the experts I know and have spoken to still believe the bull shark is the most-dangerous shark when it comes to attacks on humans, mainly down to the fact that it inhabits waters that mean it more frequently comes into contact with us. Plus, they are a large, chunky predatory shark.
Oceanic whitetips don't tend to exhibit any fear when it comes to divers, and I have had some close encounters over the years, particularly in the Red Sea off Elphinstone, The Brothers and Daedalous, but it has never been overly aggressive.
I've no doubt, due to their size and the fact they eat creatures in our size range, that they are in the top four or five most potentially dangerous sharks, but I still stand by the belief that bulls top them.
