Hi guys... I have a new pro plus 3 dive computer and sprung for the most expensive cable ever so that I might dump data into my pc. I have been unable to make this happen even though I have tried to load the software provided by Oceanic, as well as trying to download drivers, and software from the Oceanicworldwide website. They have a neat faq link that they assure will answer most questions, but when you click on it it says that the page doesn't exist. I love the computer, but would really like to be able to download the data. Any help would be appreciated.

Okay, what type of PC are you using? What operating system is your PC using? When you say you have tried to load the software, what is actually happening that is not working? B

I am using an IBM pc running windows 7. I have loaded the drivers from oceanic's website as well as the latest log software. When I go to the dive section of the software I plug in the cable, get the 120 second countdown, press the start button and get the status message " starting handshake" followed quickly by " timed out " then nothing.

Best thing to do is call oceanic with your computer and cable in hand since you have not provided enough information. You left out com port info, if you use the software to verify the cable connection, if you have other applications running.
