Hi all,

I have an Oceanic Islander 2 for use at the shop. I usually tweak my BCs a little to make them more user friendly for my personal tastes. Recently I have taken off the 4 elastic bungees that go on either side of the BC bladder. I haven't noticed the bladder upturn or anything while I dive, and the gas I use in the BC is minimal. Is there any technical reason for why I should leave these on? I am looking from feedback from an Oceanic rep, tech, etc. Thanks.

I think the main reason for the bungees is to streamline your profile when the bladder is partially full, but I'll look forward to the reps response, too.
