I'm a Fish!
Does anyone have any info on the recall for Oceanic regs?
I did a search and found that it was voluntary.

I have had problems with my Delta II, and my Delta III also makes that vibrating sound, even after being taken in.
Can I take these to a dealer?

Any info is much appreciated.

The Oceanic Reg recall was "voluntary" on the part of the company, but I guess it's voluntary to the owner, too? Still, if you have a CDX first stage that has not be retrofitted, I'd certainly recommend it. Mine failed in March '03, after the recall was started, but before I heard of it. Fortunately, I was still on the boat when it started leaking, but it did make me nervous, yet - we need to always be prepared for failure in any equipment, don't we?

A net search on this will give many sites, but here's Oceanic's:

If your vibrations are coming from your second state, that's not covered by the recall. You can call Oceanic for more information from them: 800-435-3483.

good luck, don

Yeah, the recall was for the CDX first stage, not the Delta III second stage.

If you have a CDX, I would strongly recommend bringing it to an authorized Oceanic dealer for a no charge retrofit.
