Hi there, I use an Oceanic Delta 4 & FDX10 for my normal diving. I'm looking to get into tech diving. I need to invest in at least in one addisional reg. I enjoy the Delta 4 & FDX10 . Is it any good for tech diving.

Any info would be appreciated, also, does any one know where I can get a service manual for the FDX10 first stage?

Thanks all....

It's fine for tech. Oceanic will soon have a 7 ft hose available untill then you need to convert to a standard hose by dumping the swivel and using a GT3 part on the second stage.

Service manuals are available to all Oceanic dealers.

PM me with any questions or part #'s if you need help

The Delta has always been a decent line of regs. The adjustment from freeflow to nothing is good. It hasn't changed internally from the Delta 3 or 2. Buy another first stage (the PX3 is cheap and decent performer) and you will be on your way.

The FDX10 is a much better performer than the PX3. It is also enviornmentally sealed the PX3 is not. I actually use the PX3 on my backgas and stage/deco bottles and it will handle any depth/flow required of them, but i dive warm water, however I don't know where the orginal poster lives/dives. I would not use the PX3 in really cold water like the great lakes where I used to teach years ago. The Delta 4 second also is a marginally better performer than the Delta 2 and 3 by itself when paired to the same first stage as a 2 or 3 but quite noticable when paired to the FDX10.
