I did notice that on some additional searching I did - thought that looked familiar!

I'd have to say if I did have a gripe w/ the Oceanic the only one I can come up with is it can't be fitted with a Miflex hose or a custom length regular hose from the primary and still keep the swivel. Options are the 5' or stock hose from Oceanic.

I'd love to do a slightly longer than stock Miflex with the swivel. That to me would make this thing as close to perfect as you can get.

From the pictures that I've seen it doesn't look like the Z2 has a hose swivel at the 2nd stage. Oceanic does. chalk another one up in favor of the Delta IV in my book.

By the way, had the Delta IV / FDX10 down to 150' this weekend in 39F waters and had no issues, breathed just like it does at 40' in 79F water. Couple other folks w/ Scubapro regs had free flow issues and I don't believe they were even below the thermocline yet.

you can get the Z2 with a swivel, it's called the Z2X

I was able to get a 5' swivel hose for my Delta 4 and 7' versions were available.
Also there is a conversion to use standard hoses which would include Miflex.

There is one hitch when the EOS replaced the Delta 4 as the top Oceanic reg it got the swivel hose and the Delta is no long available with it unless you find old stock.

The dry weight of a second stage has nothing to do with jaw fatigue. It is the second stage's overall + or - buoyancy that affects how much stress it will put on your mouth. However, second stage hose length and routing have far more effect on jaw fatigue than the weight of the second stage in the water. A comfortable mouthpiece is something to consider as well.

Please stop derailing this thread with common sense.

The Z2 can be optionally equipped with a hose swivel. BTW, guess where Oceanic gets its hose swivels from? It starts with an A...

Apple? Why reinvent the wheel...... um, swivel.......

I dive the Delta also. I have the D3, D4 and D4.1 models. All have been great. I am in the process of switching mine to Miflex now. I hate to loose the swivel on the stock hose and have to buy another one for the Miflex but love the feature.

Although I have had Atomic, I don't see enough of a difference for the price to tell you to go that way..... MHO

Good luck with the search.
