I use Delta2's and Delta3's, I love them all.
I use several high O2 mixes, so I wouldnt go for the titanium model.
Titanium is not recommended for Nitrox, and the cost is quite a bit more.

I own an Atomic Aquatics T1 regulator (which is made primarily out of titanium) and can use it with EANx up to 40%, which is also what Oceanic states in the Delta 3 Ti manual, so generally speaking, most titanium regulators should function just fine for recreational nitrox diving, assuming of course they've been O2 cleaned. The idea that titanium is incompatible with O2 is really a myth. In fact, some beta alloys of titanium are rated as O2 safe, whereas the more prosaic alpha/beta alloys require O2 cleaning and lower O2 percentages for EANx diving. While I cannot speak to the specific features of Oceanic's Delta 3 regulator, that fact that it is made out of titanium shouldn't prohibit recreational diving with conventional nitrox blends. So don't be afraid of titanium: it is your friend.

I agree with Sadamune, my instructor's wife uses that exact reg with Nitrox all the time, I have borrowed it to try it out and I think it works brilliantly. You only need to be worried about the Titanium and Oxygen issue if you have extremely high fractions of oxygen, well above normal recreational levels.

I have this reg and love it! It is a great breather, easy to adjust and saves me about 2 lbs. of weight when I travel.

Oceanic's customer support is highly regarded as well.

The only potential negative, and this would aplly to ALL regs with relatively narrow exhaust tees, is that with some very low-volume masks you can get bubbles in front of your face when looking horizontally. This can happen with any combination of narrow exhaust tees and low-profile mask, but it has to be a very low profile mask to be a problem, and only then when you are facing horizontally.

But I like mine so much that I just modified the exaust tee by adding little extensions. So....no more problem.

But I love this reg and would definitely buy another one.

thanks everyone. you guys are just great. so the main advantage of this reg is that the titanium makes it lightweight?

Yeah that's basically it, Titanium has a WAY higher strength to weight ratio than Brass so they can build a very good quality, very lightweight and comfortable reg.

Another advantage is that Titanium will not rust ot corrode, even in salt water. You still want to rinse it after a sw dive, though.
