I got a package envelope in the mail today from Ocean Watch Foundation. Enclosed was a few trinkets of appreciation to include a colapsable six pack cooler, certificate of appreciation and a thank-you letter. All these were nice but the best part was the final tallys of all the debris that was collected.

Those that participated from the Florida Conch Divers (FCD) knew that we collected over 3,000 lbs of trash from the Pompano Pier but did not know what others did.

Well as it turns out the (FCD) collected 3,301 lbs. We more than DOUBLED the nearest group at the Deerfield Pier at 1,400 lbs. Next highest was Ft. Lauderdale at 827 lbs and it goes down from there quickly. Final overall total was 8,357 lbs, we darn near collected half of that.

SO LET'S HEAR IT FOR ALL THE FLORIDA CONCH DIVERS :wave-smil and the KAYUBA Divers for doing such a fine job and I'll see ya next year.
