That ain't no Garibaldi! How cool would that be to see.
 
So cool. The Times article says they feed on squid. We have had squid in Redondo Beach for the past week or so, so maybe they are coming shallow to feed.

I wonder why they have the long fins.
 
We had one come up here off Avalon about 4-5 years ago.
 
what's really cool...the adults on the beach couldn't identify the fish...it was a young kid that was able to correctly identify the fish as an Oar Fish from watching TV. Pretty Cool!
 
Just when you think you've seen them all in SoCal water and then suddenly something like this or the turtles come up. This is why I love diving. You never know what comes up.
