I am about to get myself another rebreather and have been hearing stories that O2 cells are becoming more difficult to buy.

What is the story on O2 cell availability these days?

I don't think any manufacturers are selling rebreathers without sensors, and in a year when those expire, the shortage will be ancient history.

DGX seems to get a small shipment every week or so but they sell out same day. The Oxycheq AST sensors are in stock, but buy them in advance of when you need them by atleast 2 weeks so you can install and confirm acceptable starting voltage, with time to get a replacement if it's a dud.

Now is a good time for instructors to teach about cell linearity and o2 flush checks to confirm no voltage limiting, so users can extend cell life responsibly beyond 365 days. I do think, because it's a small community, anyone who really needs a cell, can get one. If no shop has one in stock, you can always borrow a cell from a buddy who isn't diving at the moment.

ISC has had plenty of the 3 pin molex cells. Both AI and Vandergraph depending on the month

The coax connections used by the JJ and SF2 seem to be in shorter and variable supply

In the past month or so I have had cells from DGX and from AP themselves. DGX supplied them immediately (in fact I had to tell them to wait to send them a second I was away). AP have an email based waiting list, after a few weeks they emailed to ask if I still needed the cells.

There are reports of JJ-CCR cells being shipped around Europe this week for orders placed many months ago. It seems cells are becoming available again.
