I am the owner of a 220-2 Booster Pumpe ohne verrohrung it has been workinig fine for years. I had a discussion about O2 boosters which will bring 10 bar (150 psi) input pressure up to 300 bar (4'500 psi) output pressure. Similar to an air compressor.

My booster needs about 70 bar input pressure to produce 300 bar output pressure. If ip is lower than 70 it stops working at 200 or 250 bar.

The idea is to use nearly all the gas in the dispenser tank.

Is there any oxygen booster which can do so? Perhaps it must be a 3 or 4 stage booster, similar to a compressor.

Thanks for your help.

You could run boosters in series and just add onto your system. What if you bought the smallest booster from NRC(or whats availabke near you) and put a 40cuft tank between the two boosters as absorber/adiabatic prevention. The small boster would fill into thr 40cuft tank and then the larger booster would draw from it.

Isn't there any booster out of the box doing so?

My booster becomes very ineffective at low pressure. It brings 10 bar up to 50 bar but the air consumption is very high. Booster is working very much and very fast, consumes a lot of air but pressure increases very slowly. So it seems 2 boosters in serie will not solve the problem. But perhaps there is an other kind of booster which is made for low pressure only?

I don't understand the difference between Double Action and Two Stage. It seems Double Action is one stage only but two pistons are working parallel, so twice as fast as single action. 2 stage seems to work in line, first stage makes 200 psi to 1'000 psi, second stage makes 1'000 to 4'000 for ex., similar to a compressor. Is this true?

Two stage USUN has max. supply pressure of 652 psi only. Why not higher? What if my supply tank has 3'000 psi?

The double has 2 stages of the same size alternating in parallel action.
The two stage has 2 stages of different size acting in series

The AGT series from haskel will pump from <10 bar up to >300 bar. But it's not a wise thing to do with oxygen since it gets ridiculously hot and heat is one element of the fire triangle.
For two-stage boosters you need to have a reduction-valve on your supply-tank. I think this could be a normal first-stage, or something like this: Sauerstoffreglerventil Messing Sauerstoffflasche Druckminderventil - AliExpress 1420

So you can't decant through your booster anymore.
Not with a Haskel - for instance the widely popular AGT 15/30 model.

The Maximator DLE 5-30 will boost from 30 psi input to more than 3000. But they are expensive.

I'll ask another question. Is a booster the right tool for this? Maybe an (electric?) compressor with multiple stages would be best? How much Oxygen are you trying to move at a time?

What are you using for drive gas, or trying to use? To boost O2 to that much pressure is going to take a lot of drive gas.

My approach... While the booster doesn't work good at taking a low pressure supply and going straight to high pressure. It will still pump fairly decent from low pressure to a mid-pressure. I'll use my tank sizes and applications. K-bottle near empty. Boost that into an AL40. Not going to fill it, might get it up to 75 bar, 1000 PSI, what ever. Now use that as the supply to the 3L rebreather bottle. Might have to go back and forth a couple of times. I'm still capped out at 3000 PSI as that is all my booster will do regardless.

What you are doing is using a single stage booster as a 2-stage. Just one stage at a time, with a bottle in the middle.
